Femslash exchange 2022
Oct. 5th, 2022 10:30 amDear author, I'm so excited you're writing something for me!

I am generally pretty flexible with the things I like. Character-driven stories are awesome, plot-driven stories are awesome, explicit porn is awesome, angst and bleakness are awesome, happy endings are awesome, humour is awesome! Etc.
A few of my favourite things include:
-Canon divergence AUs!
-Time travel shenanigans, particularly characters going back in time to change their own past (I always love a good Peggy Sue)
-Politics, history and worldbuilding in general
-Road trips (or spaceship trips, actual ship trips, etc)
-Enemies forced to work together by circumstance
-Redemption arcs
-Recovery & healing from trauma
-Happier endings for characters who are miserable in canon
-Unexpected and unconventional happy endings
-Bittersweet endings
-Tragedies that are more-or-less inevitable given the nature of the individuals involved
-People living in less-than-ideal or even actively hostile situations who manage to carve out some kind of happiness despite that.
Porn likes include rough/frantic sex, emphasising nonhuman strengths/capabilities/anatomy for nonhuman or superpowered characters, dirty talk, mild D/s, spanking and bondage/restraints.
I am generally okay with violence, noncon, character death, etc - provided that it is warned for up front - though I would prefer that stories do not focus solely on trauma/horror/violence, and if these do come up as part of the story, I am more interested in the lead up and the aftermath than in dragging out the details of the act itself.
If you need to work your way around a canon relationship of any configuration to write a pairing I've requested (or just like writing it), I do generally enjoy poly and open relationships! "They were together and then they broke up" and "don't even mention it" are also fine. Infidelity is also fine in most circumstances, I'm cool with reading about requested characters doing morally dubious things - as long as the cheated-on party doesn't get written wildly out of character to "justify" it. This is particularly the case in ASOIAF, where almost all the marriages we see involve at least some level of power imbalance and/or coercion - I'm really happy for the primary romantic pairing(s) of a fic to occur on the side of a formal marriage.
DNWs
-Modern/mundane and genre-shift AUs - basically anything that takes the requested characters/pairings out of their canon setting. Fusions (eg a daemon AU or Fallen London AU) that keep the canon setting more-or-less the same are fine though.
-Soulmates, soulmarks, hanahaki disease
-Lengthy descriptions of violence/horror/noncon/major character death (mentions are fine, just not long explicit descriptions)
-Non-canon character death of requested characters (and if a requested character's canon character death is averted, please don't then kill them off in a different way!)
-Unrequested kinks
-Tyrion Lannister - I'm okay with brief mentions, or him showing up as a kid or in an AU version of himself, but not canon, ADWD-era Tyrion as a central character
-Ahsoka or Sabine in relationships with men, even as background.
As for the fandoms and pairings, I requested:
A Song of Ice and Fire
Sansa Stark/Rhaenys Targaryen (Daughter of Elia)
Cersei Lannister/Elia Martell
Rhaenys Targaryen/Sansa Stark
I’ve been really fascinated by this pairing for a while now – I love Sansa’s fascination with fairytales and princesses and courtly love, and even though Rhaenys died as a toddler, I’m kind of obsessed by her, and by imagining what she might have been like if she’d lived. If the whole world knew she was alive, it means a massive canon divergence with huge implications for Robert’s rule – is he even on the throne at all? If he is, has she been betrothed to Joffrey since he was born for the sake of long-term stability or has she been declared a bastard? Maybe Rhaegar and Robert both died, and she or Aegon have been rulers since infancy under a regency? Any of these set up really interesting possibilities for Sansa’s King’s Landing storyline; I just really love the idea of the two of them making friends in King’s Landing during really awful circumstances. (I’m fine with an aged-up Sansa during this storyline, or with nothing happening until Sansa’s older.)
I would also be fascinated by a fic where everything was the same as canon, but someone had secretly saved Rhaenys as a baby – Jaime or Ned are both possibilities, but not the only ones! Maybe Amory Lorch grabbed the wrong kid – a wetnurse’s child, maybe – and someone else realised and saved the real Rhaenys later, and she’s been living in hiding (in Dorne, in Essos, or somewhere completely unexpected) ever since? You could do some really interesting things with identity, with Alayne Stone meeting undercover-Rhaenys? Or really any story where older, more cynical Sansa meets a hidden princess after all – and Rhaenys, who would have had a lot of frightening and awful experiences in this AU, meets someone worth risking the truth for?
Elia Martell/Cersei Lannister
Individually, Cersei and Elia are two of my favourites; yes Cersei is a fuckup but I find her fury, ambition and gender issues endlessly fascinating, and I love stories that dig into her complexity and give her a chance to be happy(ier) than she will be in canon. Meanwhile Elia is generally just reduced to being kind and frail and tragic, except in Oberyn's memories, and I am always looking for stories that flesh out her character and give her a chance to be more complex and active in her own life.
And I feel like putting Elia and Cersei together would be a great way to achieve this for both of them! In canon they’re linked in a lot of ways – the friendship between their mothers, the rivalry for Rhaegar’s hand and the eventual Martell-Lannister feud, not to mention their respective bad marriages – but they never really get to interact as adults together on their own merits. I’d love to see some missing scenes between them in canon – maybe unexpected connections at Harrenhal – or a canon divergence AU where Elia lived, or even a no-rebellion AU where Elia was Rhaegar’s Queen and Cersei was her handmaiden while she waited for Viserys to grow up so she could marry him? In a lot of scenarios I can see Cersei seeing Elia as her rival and hating her – and Elia pitying Cersei for her own self-destructiveness – and I am always here for hatesex, lol. But I can also see them ending up as unexpected allies! Anything would be really interesting.
Star Wars
Ketsu Onyo/Sabine Wren
Hera Syndulla/Sabine Wren
Ahsoka Tano/Asajj Ventress
Ahsoka Tano/Bo-Katan Kryze
Ahsoka Tano/Reva Sevander
Ketsu Onyo/Sabine Wren
I have extremely mixed feelings about the canon traditionalist Mandalorians, but it turns out when they’re ambiguously queer women I just can’t help myself: that is to say, I’ve been obsessed with Sabine/Ketsu since I started watching Rebels and I can never have enough of them, in any period. They are just so ridiculously over the top in every way – they were at boarding school together, then they rebelled against the Empire together, then they joined a CRIME GANG together, THEN they had a massive breakup-betrayal complete with Sabine getting left for dead, then they had the slow reconciliation while rebelling against the Empire together, again – and that’s not even getting into the postseries genocide and darksaber drama round 3!
Because that’s not enough, I personally like to believe that Ketsu is from a family of New Mandalorian pacifists, just to maximise the Romeo-and-Juliet drama of it all – not to mention I like what it means for Ketsu’s character; if she’s felt like a betrayer and a villain since the first time she picked up a gun, it would be a lot easier to fall all the way into the ice-cold survivalist persona she has when she’s first introduced – but absolutely don’t feel obliged to include this! Any Sabine/Ketsu fic would be wonderful, whether that's something fleshing out their backstory together, something about their slow reconciliation happening alongside canon events, or something postseries showing what Ketsu and Sabine were doing during the Rebellion?
Hera Syndulla/Sabine Wren
I do not love the “team mum and dad” roles that Hera and Kanan get put into a lot; they were in their mid-late twenties to Sabine’s late teens, which is an older sibling relationship, not parental! I've always seen Hera and Sabine's relationship as friends and comrades – big sister/little sister, at most. They have a really strong relationship and I can absolutely believe that Sabine has a bit of a crush on Hera; I'd really love to see their connection changing and deepening further after the finale. I find it hard to believe that Sabine spent the whole last few years of the Rebellion sitting on Lothal - I'd love to see her running missions with Hera or helping out with Jacen during this period or after. Or Hera not realising how much she cares about Sabine until she leaves to look for Ezra? Sabine supporting Hera with her grief over Kanan, and then Hera supporting Sabine in the aftermath of the Mandalorian genocide?
Ahsoka Tano/Asajj Ventress
I love redemption arcs and enemies forced to work together by circumstances, so Ahsoka’s arc with Asajj was fantastic for me. I also really love all their parallels as the abandoned/unwanted apprentice – as much fun as Ahsoka&Maul were, Ahsoka&Asajj is the OG Ahsoka/Darksider ship for me. I really loved their interactions together, I’m disappointed they didn’t spend more time together in canon, and basically any story with the two of them would make me really happy.
Some missing details from the Wrong Jedi arc would be great, or maybe the two of them met up again during Ahsoka’s time alone before the fall of the Republic? Or if you would like to go AU, I would have loved to have seen bounty hunter Ahsoka! Or an AU where Asajj lived and she and Ahsoka went on the run together after Order 66? (They’re both genocide survivors with complicated relationships with the people they lost; how do they feel about that?) The happier AU where Order 66 never happened, Ahsoka went back to the Jedi, and spent the next decade in an on-and-off relationship with Asajj, supporting her back into the Light?
I have never read Dark Disciple because I refuse to accept Asajj’s death as canon lol, so feel free to ignore it, but I don’t mind if you want to work details in from it either.
Ahsoka Tano/Bo-Katan Kryze
I really like how their relationship has developed over time – all these minor bits of background in multiple shows adding up to this long and complicated relationship spanning decades. I just love how they’re ancient enemies who have also been allies repeatedly but they’re also never quite exactly on the same side; they both have really different agendas and goals a lot of the time. But we also don’t see very much of them actually working together – getting to know each other, maybe saving each other, disagreements and friendship – and I would love anything fleshing that out!
I just really love how they stay in touch on and off over literal decades of war and rebellion; there’s scope for so many interesting stories there I think, as well as straight-up canon divergence AUs. Would they still have stayed in touch if Order 66 didn’t happen and Ahsoka rejoined the Jedi? What if Satine lived? I also think an Ahsoka/Bo-Katan time travel AU would be really, really funny – Bo-Katan just overreacts to everything, and meanwhile older Ahsoka is extremely chill about things that literally everyone else would be horrified by, and I think the two of them together, thrown into the past, would either fix everything or break everything differently in an extremely entertaining way.
Ahsoka Tano/Reva Sevander
They still haven't met in canon (yet!) but I love the parallels between them and I think they have a lot in common; I'd absolutely love a story about them, set in any era. Maybe Reva runs into Ahsoka at some point after leaving the Inquisitors and learned more about the Jedi with her - or maybe they don't run into each other until much later, after the fall of the Empire? (The latter probably makes it easier to work around the Ahsoka-doesn't-know-about-Vader-until-Malachor issue, though I could absolutely buy Reva deciding not to shatter Ahsoka's illusions if they met earlier, too. If you wanted to go full canon divergence AU, I'd absolutely adore a story where Reva managed to avoid the Inquisitors and ended up a jaded drifter like Kanan instead - or a happier AU where Order 66 never happened!
I enjoy all kinds of Reva joins the disaster lineage AUs, but particularly ones where Ahsoka is her Jedi Master, either formally in a happier Order 66 never happened AU where she rejoined the Jedi, or just in a slightly less bleak Order 66 divergence. I am absolutely up for messy Master/Padawan relationships - and Ahsoka/Reva in this context would just be really hot to me, as well as fitting in perfectly with a lot of what I already like about Obi-Wan, Anakin and Ahsoka's relationships - weird age gaps, kind of unconventional and even dysfunctional compared to the Jedi norm! But an AU where Reva is Obi-Wan, Anakin or even Yoda's padawan and she ends up in a relationship with Ahsoka would also be excellent!
The Untamed
Jiang Yanli/Luo ‘Mianmian’ Qingyang
The Untamed
Jiang Yanli/Mianmian
Mianmian spends most of the Jiang Yanli/Jin Zixuan romance arc as Yanli's biggest cheerleader, and I'm into it! I'd be really into a canon divergence AU here – maybe something set after Jin Zixuan's death in an AU where Jiang Yanli survives? Maybe Mianmian comes back to Jinlintai to help her and help raise Jin Zixuan’s son, and they develop feelings? Or maybe Jiang Yanli nopes out of there and ends up on the road or back at Lotus Pier with Mianmian and baby Jin Ling?
I would love anything playing with the loyal retainers aspect – Mianmian was basically Jin Zixuan’s second-in-command for a long time and he trusted her immensely – so I can see her initially helping Jiang Yanli for his sake; how would she feel (how would both of them feel!) if she felt she was coming to replace him? Also, if you wanted to do a fairly dark AU where Jiang Yanli and Mianmian are trapped in Jinlintai in a power struggle with Jin Guangyao, I would absolutely be into that.
If you don't want to go full canon divergence, missing scenes/missing moments from canon would also be really fun – maybe something set in the Cloud Recesses, where Mianmian is getting increasingly frustrated that Jin Zixuan hasn’t noticed how pretty Jiang Yanli is, and ends up kissing her instead?
I am pretty neutral about Jin Zixuan and am also fine with background JYL/JZX if you want to write an AU where he lived.
Tortall
Alanna of Pirate’s Swoop and Olau/Thayet jian Wilima
Alanna of Pirate’s Swoop and Olau/Buriram Tourakom
Alanna/Thayet
I really love both of these characters so much, and I always want more Thayet! Their friendship is just lovely to me – not only how supportive they are of each other, but how they tease each other too! And the number of times Alanna thinks that Thayet is the most beautiful woman she’s ever seen definitely does things for me (that being said, fic from Thayet’s point of view noticing how pretty Alanna is and how incredible her biceps are is also very, very good).
I’d be up for anything here – canon divergence AU where Thayet never married Jonathan, canon divergence AU where Thayet (and Alanna!) stayed in Sarain (Genghis Thayet AU! I can never get enough of these) or just kept travelling on a life of adventure, canon fic where Alanna are in a secret relationship with each other alongside their public marriage – even a postcanon fic where, after Jonathan dies, Thayet takes the Dominion Jewel and Alanna back to Sarain?
I do like poly and I’m fine with background het relationships – canon or otherwise - particularly where it’s ‘people making the best of a society where they don’t have many choices’ and ‘queer people trying to fit into a heterosexist society’.
Alanna/Buri
I absolutely adore the parallels between these two characters! If Alanna is Jonathan’s champion, then Buri is Thayet’s. They’ve both got a lot in common – loyalty; brashness, even recklessness; the refusal to put up with any kind of bullshit or bad behaviour – and I’m always sad we never got very much of their friendship in canon.
I would absolutely love any kind of story about them – canon divergence where they stayed in Sarain, canon divergence where Alanna never married George, canon-compliant fic where Alanna did marry George but still spends a lot of time having adventures and sex with Buri as well. I would definitely be up for a fic that assumes past Buri/Thayet, where Alanna and Buri get to know each other in the aftermath of Thayet getting together with Jonathan – mutual pining over their exes turning into something more!
Or maybe an AU set during the Protector of the Small series, where Alanna and Buri are so pissed off about Jonathan and Thayet’s decision about Keladry that they leave Tortall all together for a while and go off to have adventures? I will always adore Alanna’s righteous anger about Keladry, but I’m sad we never got to see Buri’s reaction.
Fallen London
The Gracious Widow/The Duchess
October of the Calendar Council/The Appalling Socialite
October of the Calendar Council/The Secular Missionary
The Gracious Widow/The Duchess
There’s something about the intimacy of immortal rivals who have known each other for centuries that always gets me! I love them as actual rivals (who maybe fuck occasionally), I love them as frenemies who dislike each other (or pretend to) but have known each other too long and have too much in common, and maybe will also work together when the occasion calls for it, I would love for their rivalry to actually be a front for something else! And even if they’re on different sides, I think they would absolutely come together to work against the Masters – two enemies coming together to work against another, even more powerful mutual enemy is always a fantastic trope!
In general I absolutely love the sense of history in the Neath, and the vibe you get when everyone’s at least somewhat immortal and it doesn’t matter how many times you murder them, you’re still going to have to keep living with them afterwards… I would really love anything for this pairing, whether that’s the ‘present day’ of the main game, how they reacted when London first fell (how did the Gracious Widow feel about the end of the Fourth City? How did she survive? Did the Duchess help her?) or even how the Duchess felt about the Gracious Widow when she was young and had only just arrived in the Neath?
October of the Calendar Council/The Appalling Socialite
I think October is my favourite character out of the Heart’s Desire storyline (and I need to hurry up with my Nemesis alt so I can see her in that storyline too!) – there’s just something about completely ruthless women who achieve everything they set out to do because they are prepared to do anything!! I loved the revelation in the Parabolan War storyline that she's been passing the time since she's been trapped in Parabola fighting as a mercenary company of creepy ravens, I also love that she's probably the Hallowmas Queen of Air and Darkness, and I am really into the idea of her serving as a terrible mentor into being a Red Queen Avatar for the Appalling Socialite.
The Appalling Socialite is, well, appalling, but she’s very fun and I really like the idea that even she might be intimidated (in a sexy way!) by October. I would really love to see her getting involved in mercenary activities with October, or weird Hallowmas stuff, or really any kind of creepy Red-Handed Queen content – what does it actually mean to be her Avatar, besides hanging out in empty houses having weird dream parties?
October of the Calendar Council/The Secular Missionary
Kind of similar to the above – I love October and I also love the Secular Missionary; she’s (delightfully!) ruthless and amoral under the fragile, feminine, Victorian mask, but she’s also really quite unprepared for how fucking weird the Neath is, and that’s a very compelling combination to me!
I also find it interesting that she's very tied to Surface politics and the Great Game, rather than the more mystic elements of the Neath, and ends up over her head/losing part of herself in the Nadir – I ship her with October partly because I’d love to see her falling even deeper into the weirdest parts of the Neath. Maybe she meets October at Hallowmas? Maybe October starts haunting her and leads her into Parabola? I can definitely see her as another great candidate for Red-Handed Queen Avatar, too.
Thank you so much for writing for me!
